FAQ
Do I need RFEM to use Dlubal CALC?
No. Everything on Your first calculation runs without it. RFEM is what you connect when you want the model built, calculated and read back in your own installation.
Is RFEM access an upgrade?
No. It is on every plan, the free one included. If an answer tells you otherwise, that is the model guessing rather than a real restriction.
What does a question cost?
One credit for a Standard message, two for Deep. Searches, geo lookups, RFEM calls and PDF exports are billed when they happen. The generated table is in Plans and credits.
Why did two similar questions cost different amounts?
Because one of them used a tool. A question answered from the model alone costs the message; the same question that needed a snow load for a location costs the message plus the lookup.
Can it read my drawings and spreadsheets?
Yes, on Professional and above, and within the formats listed in Files and assets. Up to 20 MB per file.
Does my data train a model?
No. Your conversations, files and models are yours. Company knowledge is filtered by your team on the server, and the boundary is structural rather than a setting: Citations explains it.
Can I share a result with someone without an account?
Yes, a chat can be shared as a read-only link. Anyone holding the link can open it, so treat it like sending the PDF: Chats.
Why does it keep asking instead of answering?
Because something essential is missing and inventing it would produce a confident wrong number. Supply the missing piece, or tell it to assume and say what it assumed:
Assume the German NA and a live load of 5 kN/m², and tell me what you assumed.
Which model answers?
Two tiers, Standard and Deep, and you pick in the message bar. Some turns are pinned to Deep regardless, an attachment being the clearest case: How Mia works.
