Projects
A project is the building, not the calculation. Chats, models, and files belong to one, and the project carries the data that every report from it starts with: the building project, the client, the planner, your company details, and the cover page.
Setting a project up once is what makes the tenth report as correct as the first.
What a project holds

None of it is required to calculate. It is required for a report that looks like it came from your office rather than from a tool.
Example: you set the company logo, the planner block, and the client once. Every PDF exported from any chat in that project opens with the correct cover page, and nobody retypes an address into a document again.
Drawings (Beta)
Open Drawings (Beta) in the active project to create a drawing or import a DXF file. CADCraft opens in the CALC workspace while the left sidebar stays visible. Save with Ctrl+S and wait for Saved in CALC before leaving the drawing. You can reopen it in the same project or download it as DXF.
Saved locally confirms a recovery copy in this browser. Only Saved in CALC confirms a project revision. If a save is not confirmed within 30 seconds, retry it without creating a duplicate revision. If the server is unavailable when opening a drawing, an existing local draft from this browser can be loaded; saving still checks its original revision for conflicts.
Restore a local draft lists copies from other tabs before opening the editor, including the capture time, base revision, and size. Choose Open copy, download a copy, or open the server version. Selecting a copy does not overwrite another local copy. Newer edits in the source tab are retained. Recovery is available only in the same browser and account.
CALC asks before changing chats, projects, or views while a drawing has unsaved edits. Cancel keeps the drawing and current context open. Confirming a navigation does not save the drawing; protection remains active if the navigation does not occur.
A DXF import appears as a drawing only after storage completes. If an import is not confirmed, keep the view open and use Retry import. After ending an import attempt, check the refreshed list before importing the same file again.
The integration is a beta. Check imported drawings and exported DXF files for completeness. DWG files are not currently supported.
Above the drawing table, use search, the revision filter, and the create and import actions. Sort by name, revision, or modification date. Model and drawing tables share the same Open button. Opening a drawing or model closes the right canvas panel.

The free plan's single project is not a restriction on calculating, it is a restriction on organizing. You can do the same work in it; you just cannot separate two buildings.
Working in a project
Pick the project in the sidebar, and new chats belong to it. A chat that started outside a project can be moved into one, which is the usual case: the work begins as a question and becomes a project once it is clear it will produce a document.
Fill the cover page fields before the first report, not after. Editing chapter text is cheap, and re-exporting a PDF because the client's name was missing costs 2 credits every time.
Link a local project folder
In project properties, use the folder icon beside Local project folder (tooltip: Select folder) to open the modern Windows folder dialog. You can also create a new directory there. This requires an updated connector with connector access enabled in the chat. The binding belongs to this project on this PC; it does not grant access to teammates or other PCs.
Selecting again opens the currently linked folder. If it is no longer available, you can choose a replacement. Canceling the picker or declining pairing leaves the existing folder binding unchanged.
On first use, the folder action connects this browser automatically after you confirm the native Windows permission prompt. An existing pairing is reused; there is no separate pairing configuration screen. If the connector is missing or outdated, the setup help offers launch and download links. Use Continue: select folder to connect and resume in the same project. Allow local network access when the browser asks. RFEM is not required.
While open, the dialog automatically checks reachability, Connector version (at least 2.30.3), browser pairing, and Connector access in settings. Starting, updating, or pairing the Connector refreshes its status automatically. Access is only turned on through Enable Connector access; per-chat switches remain unchanged. Continue: select folder becomes available when the prerequisites are met. Closing the dialog stops periodic checks.
Use + → Local project files in a project chat to browse the linked folder and its subdirectories. Selecting a file inserts its relative path as a reference in the message draft. Selection does not upload file contents or send a message. Search filters the displayed entries in the current directory (up to 500). If the folder is unavailable, open setup directly and relink a moved folder.
In a project chat, ask “Which files are in my local project folder?” or “Read Notes.txt from the project folder.” Subdirectories can also be browsed. Direct reading supports UTF-8 text files up to 1 MiB. Attach PDFs, Office documents, and images in chat. Read contents are sent to the chat model for processing.
Unlink folder removes the binding and leaves the files intact. Contents already read into a chat remain in that chat's history.
