When an answer needs a norm rule or verification formula, Mia does not answer from memory but relies on verifiable sources. Two sources can be searched: the Dlubal knowledge base, and your own company knowledge if your team has uploaded documents.

What a citation means, and what it does not

A citation names the reference the answer relies on. It does not replace reading the standard. Check important values in your own copy of the standard.

Example: an answer names a clause on shear resistance as the reference for a value. Whether that clause governs your member is still your call, and Mia will say so when the case is ambiguous.

Formulas in a verification

Mia shows verification formulas with substituted values, calculation steps and results, also in reports and exports. Check the edition, national annex and applicability.

Verified Dlubal facts

Some answers are missing from both the language model and the knowledge base, such as what an abbreviation means in an RFEM add-on. For those cases, Dlubal engineers create short facts and approve them. A matching fact appears before the other results and applies only within its stated scope. A fact is only created when a check shows that neither the model nor the knowledge base knows the answer.

Your own documents

If your team has company knowledge enabled, documents you upload become searchable alongside the Dlubal knowledge base, and answers say which source a passage came from.

Scoping is structural, not a setting: company knowledge is filtered by your team on the server, and the model cannot ask for another team's documents. There is no prompt that widens it.

What a search costs

Knowledge lookups are covered by the chat price and do not add a separate credit charge. A question that does not need retrieval simply skips the lookup. Additional tools, such as a snow-load lookup, are billed separately.

Example: "what is qL²/8" costs one chat message and nothing else. "Which snow load applies in Passau" costs a chat message plus a geo lookup, because it has to fetch data for the location.

Standard part and applicability

A matching title or a high relevance score does not verify a coefficient. Check the reference, edition, national annex and applicability. If reliable evidence is missing, the coefficient and any final values that depend on it remain unresolved.

When nothing is found

When a claim cannot be reliably supported, Mia states that uncertainty. Missing evidence is not replaced with an invented coefficient. The required standard editions and national annexes must be established for the project.

Example: you ask for a coefficient from a specific edition of a standard and Mia finds no support for it. She tells you so, instead of giving you a value from another edition presented as if it were the one you asked for.
