Web and geo data
Two tools reach outside the conversation. Geo data costs credits, web search does not, and the answers of both are only as current as their source.
Geo data
Ask about a location and Mia can fetch the zone data for it: the snow, wind and seismic zones with their characteristic values, the standard and national annex they come from, and the site altitude.
Geo Zone Tool has no global switch in Settings. It is available whenever your plan permits access and your account has a Dlubal API key, and Mia calls it only for a matching question. Availability alone does not cost anything. A failed lookup is not billed either.
Site data comes only from Geo Zone Tool. When it is available, Mia can call it from any skill, and she takes the snow, wind and seismic zone of a site neither from a web search nor from an estimate. A web search for a load zone does not run then; Mia queries Geo Zone Tool instead. If an answer names Geo Zone Tool as its source without having queried it, CALC corrects the answer in one more round, and the corrected answer replaces the first one. A zone you state yourself stays your input.
A successful lookup also comes with a link that opens the queried location directly on the interactive Geo Zone Tool map. Below the answer, CALC suggests matching next steps, such as the roof snow load or the wind pressure for a specific building at that location.
On request, Mia can also show the load zone map of the site or create a PDF report of all its load zones. The map and the report go straight to you in the chat; Mia does not read them, so ask her about the values rather than about the picture.
Find the connection status under Settings → AI assistant → MCP servers. A delayed sign-in or network response can make the check temporarily unavailable. CALC retries this check once; use the refresh icon to try again later. “Connected” confirms access to the tools. The actual lookup determines whether they return data for your location. Geo Zone Tool does not require the local Dlubal-Connector.
If access permissions have not loaded, the check is shown as unavailable. CALC checks again when permissions arrive. A confirmed plan restriction has its own message; it is not a connection failure.
You can also see the time of the fresh connection check and the last recorded Geo call with its outcome and duration. Call history covers up to 24 hours for your current access. Missing history does not establish a connection failure. The display does not start an additional Geo query.

Billed once per chat turn, at 2 credits, no matter how many of the underlying lookups run for it. Asking for snow and wind in one message is one lookup, not two. Before the lookup runs, CALC shows the price on a card for you to approve, unless a saved approval already covers it. The card shows the total for the answer: its base price plus the 2 credits for geo data. For an answer with a base price of 1, it says 3 credits.
Web search
Web search has three settings in the message bar:

A search is free: it costs no credits, however often it runs. Off is the setting to use
when you want an answer from the knowledge base and the model only, with no outside source
in it.
On is worth reaching for when the question is about something recent: a product release,
a changed regulation, a supplier's current range. Auto is conservative by design and will
often answer without searching.
The knowledge base has the same three settings
Auto, on and off, applied to the Dlubal Knowledge Base rather than the open web. This is the user control for that source, and there is no additional MCP switch in Settings. Off is a real off: the tool is not offered, so the answer cannot quietly come from a standard you did not want consulted.
What this means for an answer you will sign
A web result is a web result. It is not a standard, it has no citation into a document you hold, and it should not end up in a report as though it were a rule.
Do not let a web search stand in for a national annex. If the value matters, ask for the reference and check it in your copy of the standard.
