Get the right hardware for RFEM and RSTAB

Recommends or evaluates the processor, RAM, and graphics card for running RFEM and RSTAB well, based on Dlubal's own hardware guidance and current vendor specifications, never a purchase or price recommendation.

Mia

Mia guides you step by stepShe guides you through the inputs and explains the results.

Worked example

Medium model, static analysis, desktop

Processor
High single-thread turbo, many performance cores, max. 32 cores; Core Ultra or AMD preferred over Core i; non-iGPU Intel SKUs preferred
RAM
1-2 GB per thread, DDR5 preferred, matched to the CPU's max. supported frequency, one module per channel where possible
Graphics card
A dedicated card is always recommended over relying on integrated graphics; a current or previous-generation mid-range gaming card is sufficient

Recommend RFEM/RSTAB hardware for a medium model, typically run with linear_static analyses, on a desktop, with processor platform preference no_preference, and whether to evaluate existing or planned hardware set to no.

Required inputs

  • How you use RFEM/RSTAB (model size, analysis type), or a screenshot of an existing/planned configuration

What you receive

  • Recommended processor class and core count
  • Recommended RAM size and type
  • Recommended dedicated graphics card class (never integrated graphics alone)
  • Any notebook or ARM warnings that apply

What this skill checks

Processor selection

Core count, single-thread turbo, performance cores, and current Intel/AMD product lines, capped at 32 cores.

RAM sizing

Capacity per thread, DDR5 vs. DDR4, maximum supported frequency, and channel population.

Graphics card selection

Always a dedicated card, never integrated graphics alone; gaming vs. professional cards, current and previous-generation mid-range recommendations.

Special cases

Notebook cooling limits (gaming notebooks preferred when a notebook is required) and ARM/Apple Silicon emulation overhead.
